Omni acquired the property in November 2010 with financing provided by the Massachusetts Housing Finance Agency, Massachusetts Department of Housing and Community Development & the City of New Bedford through low income housing tax credits, tax exempt bonds and secondary financing. The project took over the current Project Base Section 8 (HAP) contract at closing and extended it for 20 years.

A $5.4 million rehabilitation of the property was completed in 2011.
